Default How to fit 31" tires

Hey

So I'm wondering if a 2" lift will be enough to fit 31X10.5's or if I'll have to go with the 3"

Heres the lifts

2": http://www.quadratec.com/products/76117_801.htm

3": http://www.quadratec.com/products/76017_812.htm

and the tires I want to fit

you should be able to fit 31s with the 2 inch you might have to do very minor trimming

I fit my 31x10.50 r 15 bfg a/t's under mine with a 3 inch lift. never rubbed. rubbed my flares off but thats about it, now i have bushwhackers and 5 inches of lift, cuz i wanted to go bigger. 30's and 2 inch lift should work quite well i would imagine

I'm running that exact 3" Skyjacker kit with 31's and I love it, it has good road manners and flexes really well on the rocks. I would'nt recommend going any less than 3" if your going to run 31's and wheel it. I still have my rear sway bar connected and I rub my flairs when flexing and with my front sway disconnected I'm slowly destroying my front flairs one run at a time. I also had to trim the ends of the bumper end caps because of the contact. If your just going to run it on the street you'd be fine.

The 87 has a 3 to 3.5" lift and 31x1.50's on it.

It's the backspacing on your rims that cause the tires to rub lower control arms.

Well I don't plan on wheeling it, thats what m YJ is for

The Cherokee is my Tow Rig/Daily Driver/Expedition Rig so it won't be doing anything crazy

I was thinking of doing the 2" and 31" tires myself. I ran 30" on my stock XJ with no rubbing problems so I figured 2" lift should clear 31"s.

2 inches will work, so will 3, mostly personal preference, i'd go for 3 inches since the COG loss isnt a big concern at that height and tire size.
