Default How do you fix this? (Drive shaft U-joint broken) PICS

Don't ask how I did this, but I ended up breaking off my drive shaft last night around 2 am. Just wondering what parts I need and if its an easy fix? Thanks

Do you have a 5-speed? Jw...Anyway You're going to have to take out all those bolts and take off those U-joint clamps off. You're going to have to drill out the one hole and possibly re-tap it so it'll take a bolt agian or if you have access to a welder weld a little tab on the bolt then see if you can back it out with a pair of vice grips. Also you're going to need a U-joint press (same thing as a C-clamp except its got a hole on the end of it) to press in a new u-joint. After you've done that all you have to do is put the drive shaft back in place and bolt it in.

Agreed. They're much stronger then the clamps from the factory.

Drill out the holes and do a u-bolt conversion.

Ahhh man!! That sucks!!! Did you have any vibrations prior to that?? I had to change 3 U-joints on mine last year (the 2 on the front axle and the one holding the drive shaft) It was vibrating alot and got lucky it didn't break on me.

I had some vibrations, but it wasn't that bad. Luckily this happened close to my house I was downtown prior to this.
