For those that were giving the guy crap about sending all the working load (positive power) of the fog lights through a switch and burning the Jeep to the ground... You need to take a look at my 97+ fog light fix thread. The tards at the factory wired it this way and this is why the switches keep melting. In that thread, I show you how to unfuxor their stupidity. The only thing the relay in the fuse box does is let the headlight switch control when the switch has power available to it or not.

Default Empty Fuse Slot?

Hey, I'm working on a similar project on my 01 XJ. I installed a flood light under the rear bumper and am wiring it so it will turn on only when the vehicle is in reverse.
How do u hook up fog lights?-backup-light-diagram.jpg

The part I'm stumped on is where to get the main power for the light itself. Of course I could use an inline fuse holder and go directly from the battery through the firewall, but ideally I'd like to use one of the empty fuse holders in the junction box located down low by the front passenger door.

Anyone know which plug or which wire or how to make this happen??
