how do i install a ignition switch in the column on a 92????

Cool how do i install a ignition switch in the column on a 92????

how do i get to the bare column on a 92 cherokee it seems bulletproof its all metal then a plastic sleeve. i need to replace the ignition swithc (not tumbler) but dont know how to get to it any help would be great !!

hey man....it's on the column, but lower down the column, behind the dash panel...gotta remove the lower dash panel....the switch is bolted onto the column running long ways along the column...i think on the right or top side?!?...good luck!

Yeah, the actual switch is lower on the back side of the column down by the brake pedal. It is a little easier to get at if you drop the column from the dash and just let the steering wheel sit on the seat.
