So my xj has a 3" lift and the DS is now too short. I was thinking of installing a t-case drop, but would hate to lose the clearance. The seller gave me an extra DS which is an inch longer.
He told me something about needing the right U joint to make it work. There are part numbers on each end of the U joint. 1310 & 1350.
What do I need to do? I'm confused.

Basically, you are going to have to have the end changed on the 1350 joint. You will need a new yoke and u joint. It will probably cost you about $150
Another option is to change to a SYE, shim up the pinion angle and run a front drive shaft from a junk yard.

did he say they needed the same ones or to get the 1310 on both ends and i think your best bet is to take the shaft to a place that does them and have it made to the correct size instead of just guessing. but if the other is correct then put it on but replace the u-joints like said
here is a link with some pics for you and prices

Oh wow, thanks alot for the link and replies guys!
So you are saying I need to try to fit this longer DS into my t-case to see if that's the right yoke, correct? Then, if it is, see what u-joint goes into my axle? I'm guessing this DS is not from an xj?
Thanks for the help guys.
