I have a 2rd cherokee and its missing the headliner and the board. Its very hard to find a 2rd cherokee to take parts from but 4rdr seem to be everywhere. How different is the board on the 4rd from the 2rd? can it be modified to fit a 2rd?

I think they are the same. You might have to mod where the handles are in the rear because im not sure if they put them in a different location or not. Length and width wise they should be identical

post back if it works ive been looking for a 2dr one for ever, theres some thing different can remember what it was though

 

Is the board the same for all years or early xjs are different?

 

Its different. My 97 has a different design for the rear speaker's than my 99.
Early xj's are more than likely going to be the same.
