Default How To Clean An Engine??

So My Cherokee Is In The Shop Right Now Gettin The Timing Chain Changed, But My Engine Is Super Dirty, Super Greasy, I Mean It Has Grease And Oil All Under The Engine And The Transfer Case Big Time, I Tried To Wash It With Some Degreaser But It Dident Do Much, Do Any Of You know Any Chemicals I Could Use To Get All That Crap Off My Engine,

And Also One More Thing, When I Went To Go Change My Valve Head Gasket, The Valve Are Not Pretty, Theres Old Oil, and oil Grime All Over Them, Is There Any Thing I Could Use To Get That Cleaned Out, Cuase First Thats Bad Performance, So If Any Of You Have Any Tips, Ideas, Do's And Dont's, advice, Please Help Me Out,

I Love My Self A Clean Engine, After Am Done Mudding Ya Know!

If it's really that built up, nothing you spray on it will cut much. Hit it with a scraper and once the big heavy crap is gone, then try the degreaser and use a wire brush with that to dislodge the rest.

pressure or steam cleaner but be careful grease will come off easier when motor is warm to keep that in mind you might have to do it a few time before it all comes off its been there a while remember

do not mess with the stuff inside the engine unless you want the loose pc to fall into the oil pan and clog up the pick up screen and blow the motor from lack of oil
