How can I find out if my jeep has the TracLoc diff?

I tested out my 88 xj and my 97 xj a few minutes ago.

Powerbraking the 88 xj, only the 1 tire spun for me. Powerbraking the 97 both wheels spun the whole time no matter what I did. Im still a little confused on that. I would think that would me it has lsd/posi rearend but from that stamped plate on the rearend, and going by the numbers its not.

Weird deal.

does it have a locker? Someone may have already installed one.

Sounds like a good time to pull the diff and change fluid and post a pic and we can tell ya for sure.

Im not sure about it having a locker. But Ill get a new gasket and pull the cover off and see what I can find out.
