Default Hot relay? FF Dynamics triple threat fan

A little over a year ago I purchased the three fan set-up offered by this company. Over all I have been happy with it but my heep is strictly a DD with very infrequent off-road dirt trail excursions so the system is not overly taxed.

Any way I noticed some discoloration around the fan relay. Touched it and it was super hot. The power wire from the battery was extremely hot as well.

The fans are running fine and the wires to the them are cool to the touch. I cannot visually see or audibly hear a difference.

Two questions: Does anyone know if the company is still is business as I have received no reply to my email for information?

Any suggestions as to what would cause the increase in the amperage draw. That is my assumption, something is causing the circuit to draw more power, just not sure what or how to go about finding out.

Thanks for any help!

I can't find anything on them other than an email address.
According to their website, the model you have is supposed to pull 5 amps per fan motor at full speed.
Do you have access to an ammeter? Some digital meters have the ability to read 10 amps or so, enough to test each motor individually.
That's a total load of 15 amps. What gauge wire to the battery and what info is there on the relay's capacity?

Small wires to the fans or from the power source could be the problem.

Wouldn't. The wires to the fans be hot? If the relay was bad, would that cause it draw excess amps on the power feed side? If every is running ok would the relay be warm to hot to the touch?

The heat will be where the most resistance is. Could be too small of wires at the relay.

What gauge wires are you using?

That should be good for 15 amps up to 25 feet. Find an ammeter and check the current draw from each motor, then check each connector and anything else that might've become loose or corroded for high resistance.
