horn not working 98 jeep cherokee

Default horn not working 98 jeep cherokee

As title states my horn is not working in my 98 jeep cherokee. Only thing my vehicle does is when i hit the horn the relay clicks i even put in a new relay and took out the horn and tested it and it works perfectly. Even cleaned the connectors. i have an aftermarket horn called a bad boy if it helps any.

Never could figure mine out. It was doing the same thing. I would hear the relay click under the glove box but no horn. So this past weekend I put a horn button beside my steering wheel, and a relay and new horns under the hood.

Wasn't hard. Got a kit at Auto Zone for 30 bucks that had everything and instructions.

no, i dont believe. idk. jeep wiring is always suspect... like jeep put grmlins in the engine stock...

i got a 2001 xj and mine does the same thing, all i hear is clicks, i just assumed that its the actual horn needing replaced idk

think my problem is within the switch in the steering wheel, i heard it a few times today by holding the horn in, any ideas how to get to it to clean it up?

Very old thread but the issue is current with my 98. Horn doesn't work. I got a new steering wheel switch (airbag) thinking it had to be the problem but was wrong. Other than that I've done nothing to trace out the harness/relays/fuses etc. Before I do anyone have ideas for a best first action?
