Hooking e brake cable to brake shoe
So I just did an axle swap in my xj and I feel dumb for asking but I can't seem to make sense of the e brake cable actuator arm and how it is supposed to stay on the shoe. It is supposed to be held on with the horseshoe clip but most of the ones I have seen have a round pin that the clip easily attaches to but mine have a tab with a notch that I don't see how the clip is supposed to hold it in place. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah get a pic of your brakes up here, then we can at least make sure you have all the parts. Getting it to stay together during assembly is annoying, but not too hard, unless you're missing something.

Well I finally found a couple pics online and it turns out that the style I have don't use the horseshoe clips. They just hook into the shoe and the spreader bar keeps them in place. Got it all back together and am just a front end alignment away from having it back on the road (finally)
