Default Hood Weather Stripping

What do yall think would be the best way to seal down this weather stripping that runs along the back side of the engine compartment? I can't tell what was used before, but I sure don't have it so I need to use something else. Here is a picture of the strip I'm talking about.

Since a few guys raise the back of the hood I'd guess its not needed.

most of the auto parts sell a similar stripping that you just peel and stick on. Used it on a piece of door weather stripping I tore off and it worked mint. Comes in a roll of about 10 feet...pretty cheap

Within the last couple of years I bought a OEM strip from "teamgrandwagoneer". Fits like a glove because its OEM.
