im lookn into putting some on my trail righ ..89 xj...but im cheap and i was wondering if anyone has put the vent from lowes or your local ac supply store my brothers xj has the lebaron hood vents on it and they work good...but like i said im cheap so any info will help out thanks

 

I bought this ABS plastic one from my local boat supply store for $8, [The large black one] and cut a hole with my jig saw, total cost with nuts and bolts, $10

Only put on one, over my exhaust manifold, very little rain gets through it. It's 10 X 5 inches.

 

just asking.. what's wrong with water getting in?

 

I don't want any rust under the hood, but with the amount of oil residue under there I don't have anything to worry about.

i think i paid 15 bucks for these .. got em at a marina they had some in chrome .too much bling for me though
