Has any one installed this kind of supports on there hood and if so are they worth the price?

those look way too short (mounted too close to the hinge) to be safe. What's wrong with the prop rod? Nothing to wear out

I broke my back and it is a little difficult to hold the hood up and put up the rod and I was just wondering if it would make it a little easier when I checking under the hood.

I was wondering about that too. Does anyone have any experiences with these?

What about a gas shock type proping mech like what holds the rear gate up?

I have the hood struts. It mounts opposite of what was shown before. It's nice working under the hood without having to dodge the prop rod.





Now, it can do this without help.
