Holly MSD coil pack for a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. Has anyone ever bought and used this on their 4.0 l engines? Just curious if it makes any difference in performance.
Unless you current coil rail is failing dont expect any performance gain from the MSD. If it fits your color scheme then that may be a purchase point. Its only $133 either way. NTK is about the same maybe a little less with shipping.
The other option would be the 3.8L v6 coil ( viper coil mod) I guess minivan coil mod doesnt have the same ring to it. A pigtail harness, bracket, wires and coil are available as a kit. This configuration will positively lock the wires on the spark plug terminal rather than gingerly resting on it. Still no real performance gain but I believe there are more color options, maybe orange?
