Hit switch, fan cuts on and no start!!

Model: Cherokee
Crank sensor was replaced, ASD is pulling in, fuel pump is running. I have no CEL. I have a friend coming over tonight with another cherokee to swap the ECU out of even though I tried 2.
If you unplug the CPS or Distributor all together will the CEL come on?
