I rarely drive my Cherokee on the road for long as it's not my daily driver, we use it to haul quads and do a little off roading, 90% dirt roads.
Yesterday we had some snow and I took it into town on the paved roads in 4 high. It worked fine except occasionally it would make a slight banging noise that was obviously coming from the transfer case forward somewhere (seemed like the front diff...but not sure) It would do it and then stop, then do it again intermitedly). Not highway speeds, just 50 - 70 kilometer per hour range ( i think that's probably in the 30 - 40 MPH range)
