Default High mounted Third brake light!!!

It doesn't work, and I can't get it working.
First time when I got the 97 xj O2 sensor wire from the header touches engine and blow brake light and turn signal fuses. so i replace those fuses and turn siganl and brake light worked, but the third brake light doesn't work still.
So I replaced the bulb, but still doesn't work.
So I checked through the wires from the 3rd brake light through driver side quarter pannel and side rail, but nothing wrong with the wires.
But I found blue wire under the dash pannel that was cut and has a electric brake sticker.
I'm not sure that's related though.

What should I check more?
It drives me crazy since I can't pass the nys inspection.
Help please!!
Thanks

Open up the boot between the top of the hatch door and roof, over time the wires become brittle and break. Mine did!

Good luck!
