Default high idle

I have 1989 Cherokee with 4.0 that I just rebuilt, it idles at 1500 rpm when it warms up. My brake vacumme power booster does not work. Could there be a vacumme leak in that causing the high idle?

It could def. be a vaccum leak causing the problem. I've never used the stuff but I here seafoam is good for finding leaks. Worth a try.

Try capping off the vacume line for the brake booster to see if it is the cause.
