Default High beams flashing??

I went wheeling and with my fog lights off atm, my high beams began to flash. Not like high to low. They were flashing high to off. just for a second but the guy in front of me kept thinking i needed something. What is going wrong. Now i know when i had my fogs hooked up through the factory switch with the "saftey" feature of Fog lights on and no high beams, or high beams on and no fog lights it did the same thing. Am i over heating some kind of a connection or relay?

Sounds like it could be a bad ground.

yeah but why only high beams or when the fogs were hooked up and on. Im just confused. Do fogs take place of high beams as far as getting powered when they are hoooked up through the saftey switch?
