Helper springs
I used the search function on the forum for helper springs but couldn't really find anybody that used helper springs like these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HEL-815/ They dont require you to take leaf's apart. i was wondering if this would be a good idea to get about 2 inch's in the back and along with a spacer in front?

If you're looking for a temporary fix, they'd be good, but I'm sure most would recommend either a bastard pack or full leafs.

When I pulled my u-bolts apart to change them, I heated the nuts and used the impact....came right off (and it's an ex-Canadian Jeep). But my first instinct was to cut them off.

If you do full leafs, yes...you'd have to deal with that. I'm actually gonna have a spring shop do that part. But bastard packs just require dropping the axle away from the spring and adding a leaf that way (from what I've read).
