help with switches

Default help with switches

i just got my hella lights wired and working and i have them on the hella rocker switch with three prongs for wires and i have to have the three wires hooked up

but it only has two prongs for wires is there a way i can put all three wires on this switch with only the two prongs

your three wire switch is a lighted switch and one wire is for that purpose, the other is just a toggle switch that doesn't light up so you don't need the "3rd" wire

yep the third wire is a ground so the switch lights up

well the three wires are power ground and source i tried putting it on the aftermarket switch with just a ground and power wires and the lights would not turn on until i put the rocker switch and connected the source wire

you need a power source to the switch,then source wire runs to the relay

You should have the power and source wires running to the 2 prong. No need to run a ground to the switch if there isn't any lighting on it.
Are you running them through a relay?

yea they are on a relay i thought bolted to the fire wall where all the wires are running from. i thought i had to have a ground on the switch no matter what. so thanks for clearing that up for me
