Help with seats
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, Cherokee classic with electric seats. I'm not a small guy I'm 6-foot about 265 pounds. The seats I have our electric, and are in excellent shape. they're just too tall and they don't go back far enough for me is there a way to fix the issue of them being too tall and not going back far enough. I'm on disability so I really don't have the money to buy new seats. If I had to I guess I could get junkyard seeds and have them reupholstered. But as I said the seats I have are in really good shape. Just need to be able to get them to slide back another 2 in and down 2 inches, I think probably that would be enough. Any help would be met with great appreciation, thanks!! It kind of feels like I'm riding around in a Cooper mini not a Jeep Cherokee

You'll find that most people swap seats for comfort rather than clearance. All of the Grand Cherokee seat swaps you read about will result in less headroom. It is relatively easy to swap in just about any seat from a junkyard car. You could grab some from a smaller sporty car and retrofit them in for increased headroom.
Check the link in my signature for how I cut and welded my seat bracket to lower it 1.5". It requires moving from a power to a manual seat.
Also search for "big boy seat brackets".

As far as more leg room goes guys have done a few different things.

Guys have just made their own brackets similar to theirs. Does require taking the seat off the base.
Now headroom. I swapped out my manual cloth one piece buckets for removable headrest leather power/heated seats on both sides.
I have extra seats, power seat bases, and the manual seats still attached to the manual brackets.
OK so best I can tell from eyeballing is that when a power seat base is all the way down it sits lower then a manual seat.
Also I believe my leather seat bottom to not be higher then my cloth one piece bottom.
Assuming I know what I am talking about (LOL) I think this might be the only way to get more headroom.

And I am sure that with a Google search you can find much more about this.
EDIT: XJlimtedx99 beat me to the punch with his own thread. MLOL.
