Default help! quick question

ive been reading alot on here and i know that the best performance upgrade is the cold air intake t/b exhaust etc. but my buddies says i can forget all that unless i want a small h.p. return? to do all that later the best thing to do first he said that changing out the cam shaft this will achieve what all the other mods will do and then some!! that after the cam is done to do the other mods and it may boost the gains a little more has any one done this or know about this

The cam that comes stock in the 4.0 is the best performer I have run in any of my jeeps. I did actually try a cam on a 92 4.0 that I had a while back and didn't notice any gains...Actually for my driving style, I had less power where i had before.

The 4.0 can make SERIOUS power if you stroke it, other than that, most upgrades are not worth the money for the "performanc" you get.
