HELP PLEASE!! slave cylinder

Default HELP PLEASE!! slave cylinder

So i was removing the slave cylinder out of my 98 XJ to replace, and as it was unscrewed and i started pulling it out, i heard it, the rod dropped into the tranny....
What can i do to get it out?????

OUCH... Well either you pic up the jeep and shake it out (lol) or you seperate the trans from the motor a little and see if you can get it out that way...Good Luck...Tj

Alright i got lucky and could just barely see the shining from the pink ball end of the rod, i pulled the tranny splash shield/inspection plate off and with a flexible grabber playing around through the slave cylinder hole i got it to come out!!
Woooo that scared the **** out of me!!

Just a trick I learned on mine incase anyone reads this and has that problem again, since the bellhousing is aluminum you can take off the inspection plate and put a magnet right under the metal peice thats stuck inside (in my case it was a flywheal bolt) and drag it out that way.

So i got my new master and slave cylinder assembly, i installed it and lost pressure i pulled out the slave cylinder and rod was missing again... The slave cylinder pushed out the rubber boot and rod.
What would cause this????????????
