please any suggestions will help..... already changed the switch and attemted hot wire....

 

Try being a little more descriptive.

When you hold the key in your hand?, your pocket?, in the "start" position?, etc....

Tell us more about when you "changed the switch".
And what did you do when you tried to "hot wire" this thing....

If you want a good answer, you need to ask a good descriptive question.

EDIT: Also, you don't need to post the same question 3 times....

 

Hi if it will only run with the key turned and held like you are starting it,and dies when you let go the it is problely the fuel pump relay. I know my 89 had that problem.on that year the relays are between the battery and the firewall on the pass side,like 4 of them just switch it with one. I cant remember witch one it is though.

 

THANK YOU GOD AND THAK YOU JE4REYK ... i knew some one some where had experienced this head scratcher... i knew it had to be something simple too... .. if only i had started there... but thanks again... and to everyone else i'm obviously new to this... i'm not trying to irritate anyone just trying to fix my problem...i'm starting to figure this thing out and next time i post, i promise it will only be once
