Default help with muffler!

hey i need some ideas. i have a 95 cherokee with the 4.0 HO and i was wonderin what type of muffler would make it sounds really good and agreesive. people have told me to go with the flowmaster orginal 40 series. the only thing i really have done to it is i have a dynomax cat back exhaust and a K&N filter on it. please let me know what ya think a good muffler is and if ya can send me a clip of how is sounds and what ya have done to your cherokee. please and thank you.

I have a flowmaster 40 on mine and once it's warmed up it sounds great. Before that all you really hear is engine noise. Everyone says they can hear me coming and going now. I have been looking for something to make it louder, without deleting the cat (makes it hell next year when I need another inspection)

For a cherokee, either a flowmaster 40 or cherrybomb glasspack, all depends on which sound you like better. The 40 sounds really deep and throaty compared to a cherry bomb.

I have the 4.0 HO motor in my 91 XJ. I have a cold air intake. I have 2.5" pipe from the "S" pipe back to a Flw master 40 and out the passenger side corner. It sounds great!! It's a little louder when first started cold then, it just has a nice aggressive tone throughout the rpm range. Gets kinda raspy above 4K rpm. It is nice at highway speed, too. You can actually carry on a conversation without yelling. It barks when you step on it though.

Flowmaster makes a nice super 44 off-road muffler it has a 14 guage peice of diamond plate welded around it for added protect. plus it sounds great(with no cat). It costs about $90 from Summit
Here is a pic

and here is one installed w/a cat.

I do believe the 44's are the same as the 40's just without the rumble in the cabin? That's just what I've heard. Not sure though.
