Default Help with light removal

I'm replacing the lights in my dash with blue led's and I've done the gauge cluster and shifters with T10 bulbs and now I want to do the switches next to the steering wheel and the HVAC bulb. Those take T5 in my Jeep and I already broke 2 of the harness things trying to remove them. It looks like you just twist and it will come out but it's hard both ways. It's the black plastic thing the bulb is in with wires coming out.

I'm not going to post a picture because I think you just twist it and mine broke because they're just old and brittle. Do the wedge lights need to go in a certain way? Because not all of them work..

Yes, most of the leds are polar. They'll only work one way.
