well then, i am wondering since we are dealing with anywhere from a 32yr old jeep up to a 15yr old jeep if the thread locker they used gets brittle and fails over time, thus the loosening up of the bolts.

I was gonna "try" to pull back the tranny this weekend. Planned on getting a flex plat. Sounds like maybe I should get my hands on that torque wrench first just torque them to specs, give it a test drive and see how it sounds.

Skip the torque wrench crap. Use the link to check for cracks.

OP,you need to inspect prior to trying to find replacement plate.
Determine and fix the knocking issue first (including checking your oil pressure mechanically), and then move on to other issues you may have after that.
Listen to what Cruiser is stating regarding flexplates. He knows what he is talking about.
And follow the link regarding inspection and repair. Let us know. Good luck.

Im gonna check the flex plate for cracks. But it seems pointless checking for cracks, if I dont have a torque wrench to torque it back to specs. Im gonna use Cruiser's advise and instructions. Im certain something is up with the the flex plate because after tightening the **** out of them, the sounds (knocking) moved from the motor to the torque converter tranny area(sounds like theres a zip tie on my drive shaft or rocks in the tranny) . So my plan is to check for cracks then order this.. I need the torque wrench regardless right? Attachment 286300
You don't need the frickin torque wrench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Verify you have oil pressure before you do anything that involves anything but checking oil pressure. The noise could be the oil pump disassembled itself and it floating around your oil pan. Pickup tube cracked, fell off.

the oil pressure is still low but the sound is gone. Its moved to the torque converter/tanny area.. Its gotta be cracked..
