HELP I'M STUCK!
Well after a "small trail ride" yesterday, I bit off a bit more then I could chew and got the cherokee stuck for the first time. I didn't follow rule number one (never riding alone)
, but walked over a field and got a friend to come rescue me. Today I have to get this thing out. It's a stocker, and I need to tow from the front. Where should I hook up for a tow point? Me and my friend are going to attempt the tow with his cherokee. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Do you hear banjos?
So I assume you don't have tow hooks. I would try to find an axle strap, and tow it from the axle near the CA. It will be plenty strong, and will be low, so that would help too. Others may have more ideas, but that is what I would do. HTH!!

I was thinking about strapping around the front axle, but It still makes me nervous. What do you mean by CA?

Not a good idea to "jerk" it out either. Try to finesse it out. You may wind up having to buy some tow hook brackets, they are pretty reasonably priced, and would be a better tow point. HTH!!

x2. If pulling from the front is your best option, pulling on the axle close to the control arm would be your best bet on a rig without proper recovery points. I have used this method personally and it worked fine (combined with good common sense of course)

Used "come along"... for the win in this situation.. woulda been easy n smooth getting you out and theyre not bad if you use the old Craigslist and find a nice used one.
