Help? I get a pretty harsh Jerk when shifting into drive

Was going to elaborate but i just want to hear what you guys might think it may be please chime in with your ideas. Its been going on for a while and it got a little worse.
-some things that are happening a slight vibration on acceleration from 30-43 ish till it eases.

It could possibly be the rear end slipping, maybe a couple of the prongs on the gears are worn off? Definitely need to have someone check it out though, before something catastrophic happens.

Let us know if that fixes the problem....There are plenty of previously posted threads on this forum with the exact same issue....From what I gather it can be caused by bad u-joints, transmission mount, or just a worn transmission...I was also wondering if it could be caused by the throttle cable being out of adjustment....

Search on Youtube, there are good videos on how to do u-joints. If I remember right you can do them with a vice, hammer and socket (if you don't want to shell out 150$ for the press).

i didn't mean to sound like i did it myself but the hinges that hold the cross shaft piece broke. i would just have it done by a mechanic.

yea keep us informed. i have the same problem but it doesnt always happen. it happens ever now and then and i have gottin more used to my jeep now so i know how to put it in drive with out the clunk.
