put the nut on the bolt so it is flush at the top and then hammer on the bolt. the threads will stay good and will be reusable

He's replacing it so he doesn't need the threads reusable. Thus, pound the day lights out of it!!!

I agree, you pound it with a hammer, that's going to wrench the crap out of the TREs on your drag link. I'm all for using heat and a hammer but not on steering components. They arent meant to take that kind of a beating without breaking something.

This thread = fight between the right tool for the job and people who like beating crap with a hammer.

I got mine off by bracing the back end of the bolt with the head of a giant sledge hammer, then pounded away at the front. Popped off in no time.

haha i know, i love it too. I just use it on stuff that i know can handle the beating. Any jeep owner knows that you eventually will have the beat the crap out of your rig to get it to do what you want lol.

If that bolt is in there bad enough that you destroy or bend the drag link there are bigger issues to deal with, I have done it the same way on every chevy and jeep I have ever owned and never bent the drag ling or messed up a tre.

Do you think they are made of glass? stock is weak yes I give you that but it's not made out of glass. It can handle a little hammering on the stabilizer bolt
