Default Help with front blinker wiring 88 MJ

I have an 88 MJ that apparently has the wiring to the blinkers screwed up. The left front blinker works fine but the dimmer of the two filaments (yellow parking light) comes on when the right blinker is activated. This apparently does not run enough current through the flasher for it to cycle. When the lights are on, the right parking light does not come on. when the hazards are on the left flashes bright, and right flashes dim.
Now if the lights and the hazards are on, they alternate left and right. with the left dim staying on and bright flashing. right dim flashing
also the bulb confuses me. using the battery to test the bulb show that current from one terminal to base lights dim, the other terminal to base lights bright but one terminal to the other also lights dim which i do not understand.
also checking the wiring with a volt meter was insanely confusing.
Now that i have confused everyone including myself.... where do these wires come from? where can i find a schematic or anything that would help me figure out what is going on.
thanks

Run a long wire from your Bat Neg and connect it directly to the socket/ground. (stick the striped copper in there while you put in the bulb).

Sounds like a bad ground has your juice finding an odd way back.

I don't fully get it ether. Seems that if it can't take the normal rout to ground it will go through any available filament. Happy trails...
