Help finding a part?
So I've been fighting a major vacuum leak, and one of the things I've noticed is that part of my EGR valve is missing. Its the plastic part, that's part of the vacuum system, I've outlined in this picture what I have in green and what I am missing in red:
I don't want to buy the whole egr valve, does anybody know where I can pick up just the plastic part? I assume that is some sort of diaphragm in that round part, so I probably cannot just put a y splitter on my current vacuum system.

It's the transducer, and part # is 53004867. Google that and you'll find any number of places to buy. Dealer still carries it, but it's pretty expensive, like $120+. Cheapest price I see on the internet is around $90. Best idea would be to pull one off of any Renix 4.0L engine at the junkyard.

Thanks,
That's for the whole EGR valve, not just the vacuum lines. I was hopping to avoid buying the whole thing. but it looks like I may have to.

Surely you can find that piece in a self-service junk yard. Depending on where you're located, you might be able to find a matching vehicle nearby on Row52.com.
Or you can search for it on Car-Part.com and find one in a salvage yard close to you
Or you could go to the Part Outs board on this site and see if someone will sell you one for cheap.
Or if all that fails and you have to buy a new one, Frugal Mechanic shows Amazon as the cheapest vendor selling the whole assembly (Standard brand) at $82 with free prime shipping.

I would suggest that you call them. In my experience salvage yards rarely respond to emails. Be prepared to deal with a range of people from really knowledgeable to cretins so stupid you wonder how they function in life without a helper monkey. It's pretty amazing, actually, and can be entertaining if you're prepared for it.
