I picked up a Dana 44 this week to replace my thrashed 35. Just had a first chance today to take a good look at it. Everything is is pretty reasonable shape, but one of the shock mount studs is stripped. I'm thinking that this is probably not that uncommon. Can I grind off the stripped one and replace it with a new one (asuming the studs are available and that I can get somone to weld it on? Thanks for any advice.
