Default Help with 4wd conversion

I have a 1999 Cherokee, automatic 2wd and I need to know the following.
From which year are the 4wd compatible for a conversion?
I know I need the following
-Front axle
-Transfer Case
-Transmission
-2 Driveshafts

Missing something?
Help appreciated

You could get a np242 t-case which has a full time 4wd option and no vacuum disconnect on the front axle to deal with.
Also don't forget you need the shift linkage for the t-case

I just did the swap on my 91 and the transfer case crossmember was the only thing that didnt match up for me the bolts are not in the frame but when i build mt rock sliders im going to make it work some how. I have gone wheeling twice with out it on and you just have to be carefull for rocks and stuff from hitting it and ripping the tranny mount but its a pretty easy swap.

Moved thread to OEM tech.
Converting 2wd to 4wd is not fabrication. And you will get better responses here.
