Hey Charlie, welcome to the forum. Now for your problem. I have a 91 XJ that on extremely cold mornings likes to shake when I first start her up. Now as far as I know these jeeps like to run at about 200*. So I let her run for about 15 minutes to warm her up. After she reaches temp she behaves quite well. Please go into a little more detail about your warm up procedure. We might be able to help a little more.

Sounds like you may have a miss either by vacuum leak or maybe a bad plug/wire...Tj

Use our search for "throtle position sensor" (TPS) to get info on the high idle problem also replace the O2 sensor! Those sould clear up the rough idle, & as for the shaking start by checking ur motor mounts to see if they r shot!?!?
