Default Help!!

I have just replaced a brake line on my 2000 Xj. The fittings have small leaks(enough to notice) I tighten them all the way down and it still comes out. How do I solve this? Could I use a thread sealer?

Someone will have some advice but I will tell you in the meantime: Do not use any kind of sealer on brakes.

This is a hard line you replaced? And which one?

Yes, It's a hard line. It runs from the master cylinder to the rear-end by the drivers side tire.

Improper flare.
(Just as an aside, a thread title of "Replacement brake line leaking" will get you more mileage than simply "help".)

I don't know. If it had said the brake line leaking I probably wouldn't have clicked on it. "Help" or "Please help" always makes me open things. But I am soft hearted I'll second the flare part. Where exactly is it leaking? The master cylinder or at the back?

It can be a bad fare like the others said or there can be rough spots or crud on the seats.
