When in overdrive my 1994 xj seams to have no power..ya give it gas rpms go up then the drop quickly

sounds like a bad MAP sensor.

Would that make it only do it inoverdrive? Although it does seam sluggish all around...it just started this on a trip back from the beach

disconnect it and see if t runs better or changes while running.
