Hey guys I have a problem with my heater. I have a 96 XJ 4dr. After about 10 minutes of being on(only works on high) It like bogs out and makes a weird noise. The whole time its on it makes a slapping sound down by the passenger floor. What do I need to change to fix this problem? Also I have a 90 2dr XJ with parts, Will the parts I need be interchangeable between the two jeeps?

 

bump...I swapped the resistor from the 90 cherokee and put it in my 96 and now I have all 4 levels on the fan. But it stills makes noise. Kinda sounds like paper trapped by the fan. Also after about 15 minutes it still gets REALLY loud till I put it back on to low then its ok again. Any ideas?

 

sounds like the blower motor. Its over on the passenger side and can be seen from under the hood, right under the radiator overflow. Its a black round thing.

ok cool Ill see if I can swap those parts from each jeep on sunday..
