The other day my heater door slammed real hard while I was driving and now all I have is defrost no matter where the selector switch is and I also lost my cruise control. I replaced the vacuum bulb that operates the heater door but still does'nt change where the heat comes out. If anybody has any idea's please post.
Thanks wahoo

Quoted from another forum:
"..... you should check the vacuum lines throughout the engine compartment, PARTICULARLY near the battery tray, and also check your vacuum reservoir in the right hand bumper corner.
You don't have a blend door issue. Blend doors are electrically operated in a 97+ models. Doors "slamming" shut on changes in engine load is a sure sign of a vacuum issue.
BTW--the default position for a "no-vacuum" condition is "defrost" for the "MODE" doors.
