I am starting this thread so that all of us who are freezing can band together and figure out our problems. Also to compare aftermarket heater core brands as opposed to the $400 mopar core.
I currently have a spectra heater core (Part Number: 9302) and it sucks. It is a pure aluminum core not like the solid copper and brass oem. I get about 110-120 from my vents measured with a ir thermostat. I was thinking about replacing it with a Crown 4874045. I can't find anywhere that says what is is made out of, but judging by the weight (4.3lbs) compared to 1.9lbs for the spectra I am guessing it is copper.
