Default Heater control switch doesn't work properly.

1995 Jeep Grad Cherokee limited 5.2 engine.
Heater works fine and so does the fan. Only problem is when trying to change from floor to panel or to defrost it doesn't change it always stays on the floor. I think the switch is working but maybe a vacuum problem. where does the vacuum for this come through the firewall to the engine? Any suggestions is appreciated.

@cherokee45:
I'm assuming this is a vacuum line?

Im having a similar problem with my XJ. I can only get air flow from floor or defrost. It will not blow out the Vents. Seriously irritating. I think i need to search for this vacuum line.

Yeah usually that would be a vaccum line broken or disconnected, I had the same issue before.
