I dont remember what i used for the injector sleeve..?? I am sure you could use a variety of things... The foil sheild on top of the intake isnt to direct heat..It was designed to keep varmits and such from making nest in between the manifolds..MOst of the older xj's and some commanche's have a differnt manifold sheild.. I have witnessed 3 jeeps burn because of this.. mice build nest on the manifold and bamm it catches on fire when the jeep is started.. this is more common when the jeep has sat or been in storage.. heres the pics of the injector sleeve i installed on inj#3.. It works good and i never have a rough heat soak start even in summer...
