Default heat question

so its starting to get cold outside and ive been letting my 93 jeep warm up a little longer in the mornings before i head off to school. i noticed that it doesnt actually get hot until i start driving. it just blows in cold air no matter how long i let it sit. is this normal or do i have something unplugged? i replaced the heater control valve a few months ago so i know its not that. any ideas would be great and if this is a normal thing then tell me to suck it up ha. thanks

Do you get heat when moving? I had the same issue and my heater core was clogged.

Just did this to both of my 2000XJ's .....Remove both heater core hoses where they attach to the motor.....then attach a garden hose to the top heater core hose (I use Duct Tape. It leaks some but it gets the job done.) Direct the bottom hose away from the motor and turn on the garden hose but not on full flow. Let it run for about 10 or 15 minutes and reverse the process with the other hose. Reattach both heater core hoses to the motor and check your coolant level. Run motor and hopefully you now have heat. Check coolant again after the motor cools down.

alright i just did it. easier said than done but lets just hope it worked atleast a little bit. it was tough getting the hoses unplugged and water went everywhere once i duct taped them together ha
