Default Headliner adhesive?

I'm attempting to replace my headliner and was wondering what people would recommend as far as adhesives. Dave recommended spraying on contact cement, but I don't have access to air tools to do that. I've heard the problem with the aerosol sprayers is that they don't last very long. Any other ideas?

3M Super 77 Spray adhesive if you are installing "new" headliner material.

If you are not installing new material...good luck.
The foam backing on the OEM material is what fails, not the adhesive.
So spraying adhesive to re-hang the OEm material is like pizzin-in-da-wind.

I used Permatex Heavy Duty Headliner & Carpet Adhesive with new material for my headliner last summer, it's still holding up.
Do half at a time, it makes it a lot easier to handle. Spray in criss-cross pattern, let it get tacky, get a paint roller ( I used foam ), and roll from the center out in all directions. Then do the other side.
Just my 2 cents, Mac
