Default Headlights, turn signals, and brake lights work. But nothing else does.

I have a 1998 xj and my headlights, turn signals and my brake lights all work but my gauge lights, tail lights, 4x4 selection, and gear selection lights don't work. I replaced the headlight switch believing that was the issue because I had no blown interior fuses but it didn't fix anything.

When I pull the **** halfway between off and on for the headlights my tail lights, gauges, 4x4 selection, and gear selection lights all work but the headlights don't.

I'm lost at this point as to what it could be.

If I pull it all the way the headlights will work but the gauges don't light up along with my taillights and my gear selection and 4x4 selection. I don't pull it halfway either but I did on accident and the gauges worked and everything lit up except the headlights.

the plugs look fine to me. They're pretty clean. The headlight ***** shaft is bent a bit not sure if that might be an issue.
