Headlights. Low beams dont work

Year: 1998 Classic (I'll get it running soon....) and 02 Grand
Model: Cherokee (XJ)

First step, find out if you have voltage to the low beams when you turn on the headlights. It could be as simple as two burned out filaments.
Never assume coincidence, but never ignore it. Test.
If you have good headlights, but no jolts to the headlight socket, check for power coming out of the headlight switch. If there's none, check for power coming into the switch. If you have power in, but not out, it's the switch.
Seeing a pattern here? Start checking things with a voltmeter to see where you have power, and where you don't.
If you will provide a model year, somebody might be able to look at a wiring diagram and give more info.

Well went to napa. Got something that is almost identical to the original. Cept for 1 extra ground.. installing now and blowing off the extra ground. We shall see...
