Default Headlights flashing on and off

1993 Country 4.0 5 speed Fog Lights, Cruise Control
Headlights flash on and off after a while of driving, I replaced the headlight switch a while ago, and it seemed to mostly stop, unless I'm using my fog lights or cruise control. But then it came back over the weekend, without either being used. Just cruising home for the weekend, on the road for quite some time when it started. When the headlights cut out, I pulled for high beams, and they came on, as well as the indicator for them, but then as soon as I realeasd the lever, the headlights cut out again, and started turning on and off again. Jiggled with the switch, it seemed to affect it, but it might have just been coincidental timing.
The fact that it my intermittent wipers hardly ever work (always on full if I'm using them) and cruise control also does it makes me wonder if it's the multi function switch, but that's $82 from TeamCherokee, and I don't want to replace that if it's not likely. (I also DESPISE pulling steering wheels.)
Does anybody have any ideas as to what could be causing this?
I do plan on upgrading the wiring harness within the month, but I also suck at anything electrical.

There is a thread on here about the plug that goes to the headlights that sits underneath the air cleaner ? Did you check that, I have a '95 that I was not having problems with but had to disassemble the front end for a different reason and it was loaded with crud and corrosion.

That's the one further down that WomanNeedsJeepExpertise started with about the same header. Her question was answered in depth. Check it out.

Blue relay under dash on drivers side. 1175a seems to have fixed it for me
