Headlamps work when they want (XJ)

Hi everyone

Have a problem with my 96 XJ. Headlamps work when they want. They flicker on and off when they want. Can anyone help at all? Is there a relay for the headlamps? If so, where! Lol

ck the connector going into the headlight switch.....common problem area to get hot and stop working.

there is a connector by the air filter box and check the bulbs for good connection are the tail ligfht doing the same thing

Had the same problem with an old Mustang and it just needed a new headlight switch. Switches have an overload trigger to protect the wiring from frying. If you're using halogen lights they draw alot of power and might overload the old switch. You could also upgrade to HIDs and they won't overload the switch. They draw almost no power.
